DESCRIPTION
Alberta's Provincial 25-cent coin depicts the impressive and dramatic Hoodson in the badlands near Drumheller. These columns of sandstone, naturally carved by erosion, are often crowned by caprocks which protect the lower units. These pillars range from a few centimetres to several metres in height.
