1993 Lockheed 14 Super Electra
The Lockheed 14 Super Electra was developed to provide passenger and cargo transportation service. Although of smaller capacity than its competitor, the Douglas DC-3, it had exceptional cruise performance.
It was designed with special features such as Fowler flaps and leading edge slots to improve take-off and landing performance. The first prototype was flown in July 1937 and it subsequently led to the wartime developement of teh Hudson/Ventura bomber series.
