Unveiled in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1921, the Bluenose stands as an iconic figure in maritime history, renowned as one of the swiftest and most elegant fishing schooners ever constructed. Her remarkable speed earned her a legendary reputation, symbolizing nautical excellence for an entire generation. The era of these majestic vessels came to a close with the onset of the Second World War.
In 1942, the Bluenose was repurposed for freight transport in the West Indies, where she met her end after running aground on a Haitian reef on January 28, 1946.
