DESCRIPTION

This sterling silver proof $2 coin contains a 24-karat gold-plated inner core of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, The sterling silver outer ring contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It has a diameter of 28 millimetres and weighs 8.83 grams. The reverse of the coin, designed by Tony Bianco, depicts the polar bear with her cubs. The obverse portrays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by artist Dora de Pedery- Hunt.
