Recognising the importance of pearls in Australian history this final release in the Treasures of Australia locket series encapsulates a pearl.
The reverse design portrays an abstract interpretation of Australia’s marine environment one of the world's richest sources of South Sea pearls. The lower half of the coin incorporates a transparent 'locket' inlaid with mother of pearl framing a keshi pearl.
The coin is housed in a presentation case with a jarrah timber swivel lid protected by a colourful cardboard shipper which have marks on the corners also accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
