Design
Designed by Canadian artist Trevor Tennant, your coin features a male and female caribou standing together, setagainst the backdrop of the Canadian Arctic. The large male stands with his front left leg lifted, antlers presented to stunning effect, his powerful neck and large head lowered slightly as it seems to sniff the air. Behind him a female caribou looks across the broad river, her head and antlers rising through the centre of the image. In the background, the river flows toward the horizon, bisected by an island; and further beyond rise foothills that give wayto jagged mountains. The reverse is also engraved with the word "CANADA."
