The 2026 Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps – 2-Volume Edition

Regarded as the definitive authority in the field, the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps continues to set the benchmark for accurate listings and market values of Canadian philatelic issues. Now under the editorial guidance of seasoned philatelist and expert Patrick Durbano, the 2026 edition introduces a host of new features and begins a comprehensive review of stamp pricing—the first of several planned overhauls. Durbano brings extensive experience to the role, having previously edited the OHMS perfin section of the catalogue. He is a respected member of the VG Greene Philatelic Foundation’s Expertizing Committee, sits on the Canadian Stamp Dealers’ Association board, and is affiliated with both the RPSC and BNAPS.

Marking a significant evolution in Unitrade’s publishing history, this edition debuts as a two-volume set—designed for better usability and collector convenience.

The CLASSICS volume covers Canadian philately from 1851 through 1952. This includes booklets up to BK44, provincial issues, most back-of-the-book material, and notable postmarks like the 2-Ring, 4-Ring, and Squared Circle types. It features over 250 revised prices, a comprehensive analysis of “on cover” values, newly documented constant plate varieties, and a wealth of fresh and updated illustrations.

The ELIZABETHAN volume spans the years 1953 to 2025, encompassing booklets from BK45 onward, semi-postals, Canada Post thematic collections, and uncut press sheets. It includes more than 1,200 price adjustments, many new varieties, and a wide range of updated visual references.

Trusted by collectors, dealers, and auction houses alike, the Unitrade Catalogue remains the essential reference for Canadian and BNA stamp enthusiasts.

“This two-volume format is a groundbreaking move for Unitrade,” noted Andrea Casa, Owner of Unitrade Associates. “We listened to the community and delivered a catalogue tailored to their needs. It’s a new standard in Canadian philatelic literature.” Editor Patrick Durbano added, “It was a privilege to help shape a resource so highly regarded in our field. I’m grateful to Unitrade for the opportunity to implement meaningful changes for the benefit of Canadian collectors everywhere.”
