This 1974 coin set is a standout in both artistry and execution. Famed coin designer Gilroy Roberts—best known for his work on the U.S. Kennedy half dollar—brought his masterful touch to this beautifully crafted numismatic collection, creating a vivid showcase of birdlife. The obverse of each coin features an elegant portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered by the renowned sculptor Arnold Machin.

A total of 93,555 sets were produced in this particular format, with each individual coin struck in a mintage of 94,000 pieces to meet the demand.

One Dollar: The crown jewel of the set—a silver coin featuring three Magnificent Frigatebirds, both airborne and perched, captures a scene both dramatic and graceful. This piece contains .7643 ounces of silver.
