Design:
This coin features impressive lenticular technology that vividly depicts a chilling nighttime scene. Illuminated only by the faint light of a handheld lantern, a young man cautiously navigates the marshes near Dobbin's Gardens. In the first image, he anxiously glances behind him, where a ghostly woman in white appears to float in the darkness. When the coin is tilted, the scene transforms dramatically—the once-youthful spirit now has a horrifying, aged face with twisted features and hands. The young man's terrified expression meets the viewer's gaze, as does the ghost’s, intensifying the haunting effect. Surrounding the reverse is an engraved outer rim bearing “CANADA,” the denomination “25 CENTS,” and the year “2016.”
