The effect is made possible by pulsating technology, with hundreds of tiny, micro-engineered mirrors all working together to reflect light in a certain way that creates the illusion of movement, and also reveals the leaf’s complex vein pattern.
A fiery effect, this Canadian maple leaf appears to have national pride running through its veins. This is the first time the Royal Canadian Mint’s pulsating has been applied to such a large surface and incorporated into a
key design feature.
