DESIGN
The reverse design of this fine silver coin is by Canadian artist Jesse Koreck. Neither the cold nor the wet snow has dampened spirits on this beautiful winter day; with just the right snow conditions, it’s the perfect time to enjoy a good old-fashioned snowball fight, or build a snowman... in fact, ours has come to life before our very eyes! With pieces of coal for his buttons and a carrot for his nose, this magical snowman has a broad smile as he joins in this snow day fun. His left arm, which consists of a branch, is bent at an angle to deflect a snowball that was playfully thrown at him. His other arm is drawn back, creating momentum that causes his scarf to flap in the wind, as he prepares to launch his own snowball. With holly for the holidays tucked into the snowman’s hat, the scene is a reminder of the mirth and excitement that reigns in the hearts of the young and the young-at-heart during the season.
